Safari for macOS
Safari uses Apple Translation for in-page translation and Apple Intelligence for on-device filtering scores. Unsupported language pairs or unavailable system features can fall back to the local or external model you configure.

X Recommender Plus is available in Chrome and Safari for macOS. It uses the AI model you choose to reduce low-signal posts, translate in place, and explain unfamiliar content without pulling you out of the feed.
Choose a local model or an OpenAI-compatible API, decide how aggressively posts should be filtered, and keep control over prompts, thresholds, translation, and stored scores. On supported Macs, Safari can use Apple Intelligence for on-device filtering scores and Apple Translation for supported language pairs.
Platform differences
The core workflow is shared across both browsers, but each browser uses its own built-in Apple or Chrome capabilities when available.
Safari uses Apple Translation for in-page translation and Apple Intelligence for on-device filtering scores. Unsupported language pairs or unavailable system features can fall back to the local or external model you configure.
Chrome uses the built-in Chrome Translator API for in-page translation and Chrome built-in Gemini (Prompt API) for filtering scores when available. Translation and scoring can fall back to your configured external or local model.
Core features
Score X and Weibo posts with your selected model, then fade or hide items below the threshold you set.
Translate posts and quoted posts while keeping the original text visible. Use platform translation when available, or retry with a configured LLM.
Use the side panel for explanations, media context, and follow-up questions. Safari for macOS provides the same workflow in an in-page panel.
Whitelist accounts and review reputation information from earlier scores.
Choose faster text-only scoring or include media context when it matters.
Use the Safari extension on X and Weibo. On supported Macs, Apple Intelligence can provide filtering scores, while Apple Translation can download required language packs and fall back to your configured LLM when a language pair is unavailable.
Use local models or connect OpenAI, DeepSeek, and other OpenAI-compatible services.
